Day 71 - Wednesday 12/2/15 (AIO day 47, MM 39)
1. Do Xtra Math.
2. Mental Math Time!
3. Read about solving word problems and then solve the problems.
4. Multiply and add to find the right amount.

Day 72 - Thursday 12/3/15 (AIO day 48, MM 41)
1. Do Xtra Math.
2. Mental Math Time!
3. Solve the multiplication and division word problems.
4. Solve the word problems. Do five problems.

Day 73 - Friday 12/4/15 (AIO day 49-50, MM 42)
1. Do Xtra Math.
2. Mental Math Time!
3. Solve the word problems. Do ten problems.
4. Solve the word problems. Make sure you write the label on your answer, 12 apples, $4.50, 6 children, etc.


Day 74 - Monday 12/7/15 (AIO day 51)
1. Do Xtra Math. 
2. Let’s start with a simple review.

• In the review it pointed out that one half, 1/2, is the same as two fourths, 2/4. What else is it the same as? If you had a pizza with 8 slices and you ate half, how many slices did you eat? 4!  Four is half of eight. One way to read fractions is 4 out of 8.
• These are all the same amount:
• one half
• five tenths
• five out of ten
• 0.5
• 50%
• 1/2 ,   2/4 ,   3/6 ,   4/8 ,    5/10   are called equivalent fractions. Equivalent means equal. Those fractions are all one half. The top number is half of the bottom number. The denominator is two times the numerator. 
• When we change an equivalent fraction to its lowest terms, it’s called simplifying or reducing the fraction. That just means we take 5/10 (five tenths) and call it 1/2 (one half).  If you ate 5 of the the 10 cookies, you ate one half of them. 5/10 and 1/2 are the same amount.
• One way to find an equivalent fraction is to multiply or divide the top and bottom numbers (the numerator and the denominator) by the same amount.

3. Hang the monkeys on the line. Sometimes they will match what is on the number line. Sometimes you will have to hang the monkey on an equivalent fraction, one that equals the same amount but is written with different numbers.

3. Match the equivalent fractions. (Hint: multiply the numerators and denominators by 2 or 3.) 

Day 77 - Thursday 12/10/15 (AIO day 53, MM 46)
1. Do Xtra Math.
2. Mental Math Time!
3. Compare the fractions. You compare them by looking at their numerators.


Day 78 - Friday 12/11/15 (AIO day 53, MM 47)
1. Do Xtra Math.
2. Mental Math Time!
3. Which fraction is the largest amount? 

• 1/2 is greater than 2/5 because… 
• 1/2 equals 5/10  (multiply top and bottom by 5) 
• 2/5 equals 4/10    (multiply top and bottom by 2) 
• 5 > 4

1. Do Xtra Math.
2. Mental Math Time!
3. Read about proper fractions and do the questions.

Day 80 - Tuesday 12/15/15 (AIO day 56, MM 49)
1. Do Xtra Math.
2. Mental Math Time!
3. Read about improper fractions and do the questions.

Day 81 - Wednesday 12/16/15 (AIO day 57, MM )
1. Do Xtra Math.
2. Do Math Fact Practice. Click "next". Choose "up to 10", multiplication, and 3 minutes. How many can you do in 3 minutes?
3. Read about mixed numbers or mixed fractions and do the questions.

Day 82 - Thursday 12/17/15 (AIO day , MM )
1. Do Xtra Math.
2. Do Math Fact Practice. Click "next". Choose "up to 10", division, and 3 minutes. How many can you do in 3 minutes?
3. Play Best Friend Math. Click on "Counting Money and Coins."

Day 83 - Friday 12/18/15 (AIO day , MM )
1. Do Xtra Math.
2. Do Math Fact Practice. Click "next". Choose "up to 10", multiplication, and 3 minutes. How many can you do in 3 minutes?
3. Play the Rounding Cannons game. What level can you get to?
